Driver's licence requirements from 70 years of age

Drivers over 70 years of age must pass a medical and eyesight examination each year.

After reaching the age of 70 you will receive a certificate of fitness to drive in the mail.

You will need to visit your medical professional who will complete the certificate.

If you are 85 years of age or older and hold a higher class of licence than car or a motor bike you will need to undertake a practical driving test each year to retain that licence.
